UGE, Unidad de Grandes Empresas, or in English, The Large Companies and Strategic Groups Unit
The Large Companies and Strategic Collectives Unit (UGE-CE) was established in 2007 by means of an Agreement of the Council of Ministers, to provide an agile response and expert advice to the needs raised by companies and organizations that require bringing non-EU personnel to Spain of special characteristics.
The unit deals with the processing of residence authorizations provided for in Law 14/2013, of September 27, to support entrepreneurs and their internationalization (Consolidated version) that facilitates entry and stay in Spain for reasons of economic interest a: investors, entrepreneurs, highly qualified professionals, researchers, workers who carry out intra-company movements within the same company or group of companies and family members of the above cases. Application criteria of the international mobility section of Law 14/2013, of September 27, to support entrepreneurs and their internationalization.
Applications for authorizations regulated by this Law must be submitted electronically, through the Electronic Headquarters of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations.
It also processes the procedures provided for in Title IX and DA 1ª.3 of Royal Decree 577/2011, referring to professionals in research or university teaching, artists of recognized international prestige, among others:
